Happy Independence Day!

Hope everyone had a safe, fun, and relaxing 4th of July. Here in the Midwest, neighborhood fireworks are a very, very big deal. As soon as it gets dark (and even when it's not so dark), it sounds like a war zone! We can look out of one of our upstairs windows and look out across the Omaha metro area toward the city and be high enough to see hundreds and hundreds of fireworks going off from back yards all over the place. We're lucky enough to have three dogs who aren't terrified by the blasts--they get a little bit nervous, but that's about it.

Tonight, we're off to see an Omaha Storm Chaser's baseball game--Triple-A Minor League ball, which is ALMOST as good as the Majors, right?
